Mr. Thomas Michael "Tom" McChesney, 52 of Hagerstown, died Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at his residence.
Born, June 18, 1973, in Washington, District of Columbia, he was a son of the late Helen Ruth Powers McChesney, who preceded him in death on October 20, 2025. He attended Rockville High School where he had many friends and was an athelete, catching baseball for "The Optimists".
An ASE Certified Mechanic by trade, Tom was not just a man who worked on vehicles; he was an embodiment of integrity and honesty in a craft.
He was a fiery soul who was proud of his Native American heritage. He was especially close to his late mother and his family, a bond that ran deep.
Tom was not just a man devoted to his work and loved ones. Whether he was casting his line into water for bass, fishing on his john boat; or honing his skills at the range with target shooting, he enjoyed in the outdoors. He was a diehard Baltimore Ravens fan, a time that his fiery spirit of showed as he was watching a game.
He is survived by his children, Raven Lita McChesney of Rockville, and Conner Rae McChesney of Hagerstown; his brother John Griffin and wife Ruby of Dahlgren, Virginia; his step-father, David McChesney of Hagerstown; and among many friends, Roger Acevedo of Washington, and Bobby Lee of Mount Airy.
The Andrew K. Coffman Funeral Home, Hagerstown, is assisting the family with arrangements. Services are private and at the convenience of the family.
