THOMAS ROBERT "TOM" McCORMICK

1969 – 2025

Thomas Robert "Tom" McCormick, 56, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 13, 2025 at his home in Melrose.

Born in Reading, Pennsylvania, Thomas lived in many places throughout his life, including Athens, Greece; Newport, Rhode Island; Ewa Beach, Hawaii; and Melrose, Florida. He was a beloved son, brother, and uncle.

In his early career, Thomas worked as a restaurant manager at the Arizona Roadhouse and Brewery, where his leadership and wit made him a natural in the hospitality industry. He later transitioned into the financial field as a customer service agent for Wells Fargo Bank.

Outside of work, Thomas found great joy in the simple pleasures of life. He adored his dogs, Molly and Patches, who were his constant companions, and he cultivated a deep love of gardening, tending to his plants with care and pride.

Thomas is survived by his mother, Maryann McCormick; his sister, Shannon Cooper, and her husband, Erik; and his cherished nephew and niece, Jack and Rosie Cooper. He was preceded in death by his father, Thomas F. McCormick.

He will be remembered for his strength, his sense of humor, and the love he shared with his family.

A service to honor Thomas's life will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Holy Spirit Lutheran Church, Juno Beach, FL.

Because of Tom's love of animals, the family asks that, in lieu of flowers, memorial gifts be directed to Putnam County Animal Services, 174 County Landfill Road, Palatka, FL 32177.

Messages of sympathy may be shared on Tom's online tribute page at www.themastersfuneralhome.com.

Masters Funeral Home of Palatka is assisting the family.
