Thomas "Tom" McGifford

Thomas "Tom" Frederick McGifford, Jr. age 68 of Round Rock, Texas passed away on Monday, November 14, 2011 in Round Rock. He was born July 30, 1943 in Chicago, Illinois to Thomas F. and Julia T. (Mikulsk) McGifford. Tom married Martha Tate on October 18, 1975. He earned a B.S. in Education from the University of Illinois. Tom was an Inventory Control Specialist for Xerox before his retirement in 1996. He was an active member of Saint Richard's Episcopal Church. Survivors include his wife Martha Clifford; son, Thomas McGifford III and wife Mitzi; daughter, Maureen McGifford; daughter, Meghan McGifford and fiance' Brian Roe; son, Garrett Downs and wife Ashley; sister, Julia Lynne Schubel and husband Henry; grandsons, Collin McGifford, Peyton Downs; granddaughters, Cynthia M. and Claire E. Croft. Tom was preceded in death by his parents; and daughter Erin McGifford. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Saint Richard's Episcopal Church in Round Rock with Pastor Stuart Shelby officiating. Burial will be at Oakland Cemetery in Weatherford, Texas on Sunday, November 20th at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Saint Richard's Episcopal Church, 1420 E.
