Thomas Edward McKee, age 78, of Delphos, entered his heavenly home on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 - no longer homesick for heaven, but rejoicing to finally see his Savior face to face. His life was marked by a deep and committed desire to meet Jesus, and his family takes comfort in knowing he would want everyone to be ready for that same glorious day. He was born May 26, 1947, to the late Paul Matthew and Virginia Louise McKee.

Tom was a 1965 graduate of Delphos Jefferson Senior High School.

He was the devoted husband of 55 years to his beloved wife, Brenda Kay (Line) McKee, who survives in Delphos. Together they built a family rooted in faith, service, and love. He is also survived by three children: Angie (Dan) Kirby of Celina, Lisa (John) Thiel of Mechanicsburg, and Thomas (Jamie) McKee of Delphos. His greatest earthly joy was being "Grandpa" to his cherished grandchildren: Cooper Riley Isaac, Alexa Christine, and Elizabeth Noelle Chung; Kole Thomas and Benjamin Roscoe McKee; Thomas Kix and Jacob Aaron Thiel; and Katelyn Nicole Reed, and Kyle Allen and Taylor Jade Stidham. He often joked that his grandkids all had "lots of brains" because they inherited his intelligence - a reflection of both his humor and his immense pride in them.

He is also survived by his brothers Steve (Annette) McKee and Dave (Jean) McKee; his sister Sue (Gary) Gerdeman; his sister-in-law Candy (Denny) Clayton; and his brother-in-law Les (Melody) Line; along with many nephews and nieces who loved him dearly.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Paul McKee; a son-in-love, Howard Bernard Chung; his father-in-law, Billy J. Line; and his mother-in-law, Juanita Jean Line.

A proud United States Army veteran, Tom served faithfully in Korea during the Vietnam War. His patriotism was evident in his love of country, and his life testified even more boldly to his love for Christ. Military rites will be performed in his honor at his service.

Tom worked as a Ford Power House mechanic, providing for his family with skill, dedication, and integrity. Outside of work, he loved fishing, hunting, wood carving, and even building a tank - but he found his truest calling in serving others through his church and missions. He was a faithful member of Delphos First Church, where he joyfully poured his energy into Royal Rangers, Light for the Lost, Fire Bible, and countless Assemblies of God missionaries. His passion for missions carried him around the world, including trips to Tanzania, Chile, and Mexico, where he represented Jesus with courage and compassion.

Above all, Tom lived as a man wildly committed to his Savior. He loved teaching young men in Royal Rangers, mentoring others in faith, and leaving a legacy of servant leadership to his children and grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Thursday, September 25, from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Weber Funeral Home in Delphos. Funeral services will follow on Friday, September 26, at 11:00 a.m. at Delphos First Church, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove cemetery with graveside military honors conducted by Delphos Veterans Council. Memorial contributions may be made to the missions program at Delphos First, continuing Tom's lifelong passion to "go into all the world."

The verse that anchored his faith was:
"Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father's house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you?" (John 14:1–2)

Tom fought well, loved deeply, and served faithfully. His legacy will live on in every life he touched, and his family takes comfort knowing he has heard his Savior say, "Well done, good and faithful servant." Earth lost a husband, father, grandpa, and friend - but heaven gained a champion.
