He was a singer in the a cappella group, the Chiltonaires while in the Navy and later became the Lead Singer of the Bur-tones. On occasion, he even got to sing with fellow Pittsburgh (Canonsburg) native, Bobby Vinton. In addition to singing, Tom enjoyed drag racing, fishing trips to Canada and going to Napa Valley with his family to visit the wineries. He was also a big Steelers Football and Cleveland baseball fan.
Tom will be sadly missed by his Lifelong Companion, Nancy (Aldrich) Dore, his children, Darryl Thomas Mistelske, Deborah Carol Mistelske, Diann Louise Mistelske (Stéphane Lavertu), grandchildren, Jessica Biltz, and Zachary Mistelske. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his son Douglas Joseph Mistelske.
