It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Thomas Champ Mobley, a man of unwavering dedication and tireless diligence, who departed this life on the 17th day of November, 2025, in the comfort of his home, under the devoted care of his beloved sister, Stacey Miller. Born in New Haven on the 28th of October, 1959, Thomas’s journey through life was marked by an unfailing commitment to both his family and his vocation.

Thomas found purpose and joy in his career, finding a fondness for his work with Linux. His industrious spirit and meticulous attention to detail endeared him to colleagues and employers alike, illuminating the professional paths he traversed. The essence of hard work was not merely a quality he possessed; it was a reflection of the man he was in all aspects of his life.

He was a proud veteran of the United States Navy. Outside of his professional endeavors, Thomas nurtured a variety of interests that brought him fulfillment. A lifelong member of the NRA, he expressed his passion through the art of black powder shooting, finding solace and enjoyment in the precision and history associated with firearms. Additionally, he dedicated time to the pursuit of knowledge as a Libertarian, sharing his love of books and learning with others.

Thomas will be mourned by his surviving sister, Stacey Miller, whose support during his final days was a testament to their enduring bond. He also leaves behind numerous friends and colleagues, who carry cherished memories of their time with him—moments defined by laughter, camaraderie, and shared experiences.

Thomas was preceded in death by his beloved siblings, Cindy Ray Karges and Vicki Mobley, as well as his esteemed parents, Thomas R. Mobley and Burgette. Their spirits reside in the hearts of those who remember them, forming a familial legacy that continues to inspire.

As we honor the memory of Thomas Champ Mobley, we celebrate a life characterized by hard work, dedication, and a deep love for family and friends. His legacy will be forever etched in the lives he touched, as he leaves behind a narrative of strength, resilience, and unwavering loyalty.
