Dr Moeller was my absolute favorite teacher at MWC, now UMW. I took almost all of his classes and he inspired me to get my MA in Early Childhood Education from Kansas University and devote my career to doing research and then working as the Director of a preschool and kindergarten. He was an amazing man.

Dr. Moeller was my Psychology 101 professor at MWC back in the late 90´s. He was a kind man and a wonderful teacher who always made me feel welcome and included in his class. He took an interest in his students and helped mentor them. He was one of the reasons I chose to major in Psychology and even after I graduated, he kept in touch. Dr. Moeller had a huge impact on me and my fellow students and will be missed dearly.

Dr.Moeller was a professor and advisor to me at Mary Washington in mid '80s. He was bright, articulate and humorous. I enjoyed my classes with him. I truly wish I had known him more as a person, as I find out reading his obit that we had a lot in common. Rest in peace, sir. And, thank you.

Knowing Tom and Prov was one of the biggest blessings in my life. They were incredible individuals and a beautiful couple who lived their faith and values. From my first time on campus at the then-Mary Washington College in March 1987 when I met him during my interview, I have been in contact with Tom as his former student and friend. He is the main reason that I chose to go to Mary Washington. I vividly remember getting a personal letter in the mail from him after the interview. After I read his letter, I knew that I was going to Mary Washington. I have kept that letter for over 38 years.
Tom was instrumental in my education and life at Mary Washington and beyond.
Back at Mary Wash, Tom was my academic advisor, my internship supervisor, and taught my favorite class of all-time (health psychology). We wrote each other Christmas cards and emails from the time I graduated in 1991 until recently.
Tom & Prov also came to my & Keith's wedding in Stafford, Virginia in 1993. They also visited us in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Roanoke, Virginia. They met our children Blake and Darcey. We enjoyed sharing our Midwest roots and connections since I am from Iowa, my husband Keith is from Indiana, and he & Prov were from Illinois. However, we did disagree about baseball as he was an avid Chicago White Sox fan and Keith and I are Chicago Cubs fans.
Tom & I also shared and talked about the importance of our faith. It's all a God thing that our lives intersected.
Tom took the time to genuinely care, to heartily laugh, to truly notice, to send an encouraging note, to ask you a follow-up question about you & your family & really listen to you, to to share some interesting research, to look out for others & how he could help them, etc. Tom was really good at seeing and listening to people and taking time to recognize and appreciate the connections we have.
I am so grateful that my son Blake & I attended Tom's 80th birthday celebration in Freeport, Illinois last summer. You could see in his broad, beaming smile how deeply proud Tom was of his family and how much he loved and valued his family and friends. Tom was definitely my favorite professor & one of my favorite people in the world.

Work with Tom for years at the college. Our offices were on the same floor and I taught business courses.
