Thomas J Mottola: A Life of Dedication and Wrenches
Harrisville - Thomas J Mottola, 77, of Round Top Rd., Harrisville, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 28, 2025, at Miriam Hospital in Providence, surrounded by the love of his family. He was the beloved husband of Denise J. (Lemire) Mottola, with whom he shared 47 years of love, partnership, and a joyful life together.
Born in Providence, Tom was the son of the late Anthony and Constance (Paul) Mottola. A skilled Small Engine Mechanic, he spent countless hours in his garage, his favorite place to fix, build, and create. His talent with tools and engines was something he most loved sharing with TJ, Steven, and the people closest to him.
Tom enjoyed good friends, good laughs, and any day spent talking shop. One of his greatest joys was working on the racing go karts of his son Steven and his grandson Jaxon, always making sure everything was tuned to perfection for the track. When he was not helping them chase speed, he loved tinkering with his prized 1929 Ford Street Rod.
More than anything, Tom cherished his family. He was incredibly proud of his children and the lives they built, and he enjoyed the time he spent with TJ and Karen, and with Steven and Cara, who were an important part of his everyday life.
Tom leaves behind his children, TJ Mottola and his wife Karen of Pascoag, Joseph Mottola and his wife Stephanie of Glendale, AZ; and Steven Mottola and his wife Cara of Clayville. He is also survived by his grandson Jaxon Mottola, the son of Steven and Cara, and his sister in law Suzanne Mottola. He was predeceased by his brother Anthony Mottola.
Tom's greatest love and steadfast partner was his wife Denise. Their life together was built on commitment, respect, and deep devotion.
Relatives and friends are invited to visitation on Thursday, December 4, 2025, from 4 to 7 PM at Boucher Funeral Home, 272 Sayles Ave., Pascoag.
