Thomas Myers Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Evans Funeral Chapel & Cremation Services - Parkville on Mar. 5, 2026.
On March 4, 2026, Thomas P. Myers, Jr., of Parkville passed away. Thomas was the devoted husband of 57 years to Kathleen J. Myers (nee Johnson); loving father of Thomas P. Myers and his wife Mercedes, Gil Myers, and Laura Hausman and her husband Brad; caring Grandpop of Jacob, Isabelle, Olivia, Alyssa, and Blake. Thomas is also survived by many cherished friends and family.

Thomas will be remembered as a man who appreciated life and the moments that brought people together. He loved spending time camping in Pennsylvania, where he enjoyed the outdoors and the chance to relax and recharge.

Above all else, Thomas cherished time spent with his family. Being "Grandpop" to Jacob, Isabelle, Olivia, Alyssa, and Blake was one of the greatest joys of his life, and he treasured every opportunity to be together, creating memories and sharing laughter with the people he loved most.

A devoted football fan, Thomas remained loyal to the Colts from their Baltimore days and later proudly cheered for the Baltimore Ravens. He rarely missed a game and always rooted enthusiastically for his teams.

He also enjoyed gathering around the table for card games, especially his favorites – Crazy 8's, pinochle, hearts, and solitaire – where laughter and friendly competition were always part of the fun. In quieter moments, Thomas could often be found watching his VHS tapes of classic western and war movies, a pastime that brought him comfort and nostalgia.

Thomas will be remembered for the memories he shared with others and for the simple moments he enjoyed most – whether outdoors, cheering on his teams, playing a game of cards, or relaxing with a favorite film. He will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.

Family and friends will honor and celebrate Thomas' life at the Evans Life Celebration Home, 8800 Harford Road, Parkville, on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, from 2–4 & 6–8 pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at 11:00 am. Interment will conclude all services at Parkwood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to BARCS (Baltimore Animal Rescue Care Shelter): https://www.barcs.org
