Thomas Nicoulin Obituary

New London - Thomas "Tom" Scott Nicoulin, 70, of New London, passed away peacefully Aug. 15, 2025. He was born April 27, 1955, in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Melvin Nicoulin Jr. and Peggy Lou Krause.

Tom devoted his career to scientific and public service roles. He worked as a laboratory technician for the Town of New London and later served as a research and development specialist with Medtronic Merocel, where he contributed to advancements in medical technology and patient care.

In his personal life, Tom was an avid outdoorsman who found joy in camping, canoeing, snorkeling and fishing - pursuits that reflected his deep appreciation for nature and peaceful solitude.

He is survived by his daughter Amberlee Nicoulin Clark; and his brothers, Jack Nicoulin and Jim Nicoulin. He was predeceased by his brother Terry Nicoulin. Tom also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and friends, including close friends Kevin and Karen Gifford.

Tom's presence was a source of strength and comfort to those who knew him, and his memory will be cherished by all whose lives he touched.

A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date to honor his life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Tom's name to the Connecticut Humane Society or the U.S. National Park Service.

Tom
You were always a pleasure to be around, especially when I caught the fish at green falls and you cleaned it for me. This is just one of the memories that I have you'll be sadly missed by many.
