Thomas A. Noonan, age 74, passed away peacefully early morning on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at Lund Family Hospice in Gilbert, Arizona. Tom was born March 5, 1948 in Toledo, Ohio to Robert and Dorothy (McVicker) Noonan. He married Cheryl Lynn Lance in Toldeo on July 3, 1970.
Tom spent most of his career in consulting, helping his clients improve their culture, be more productive as a team, and reduce waste to improve their profits. He had a unique gift for finding simple solutions to complex problems. But what Tom excelled at most was listening. He was always quick to offer an ear to senior leaders, managers, and individual contributors to improve feedback and communication. He walked by faith and often talked about "trusting God's plan", even during his most difficult days. In Tom's spare time he had a passion for golf, hiking, and watching Ohio State football on Saturdays in the fall. He was very involved in his weekly men's Bible study and will always be remembered for his genuine kindness, sense of humor, and love he had for his children and grandchildren.
Tom is survived by his wife of 52 years, Cheryl, along with their 3 sons; Chad (Jenny), Corey (Debbie), and Colin (Charlene). Both Tom and Cheryl enjoyed the gift of 7 grandchildren.
Family, friends, and others who were touched by Tom's life are invited to remember and celebrate his life at Redemption Church (1820 W Elliot Rd, Gilbert, AZ 85233) on Saturday, February 4 at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice of the Valley and Cancer Research Institute.
