Thomas Nowak

Thomas Nowak, age 66 of Greenfield, Wisconsin, passed away unexpectedly at his home October 28, 2023.
Tom was born January 26, 1957, in Milwaukee Wisconsin to Robert and Dolores (nee Piotrowski) Nowak. Tom was a graduate of Whitnall High School where he excelled as a football player. His love of football carried on throughout his life, he was a fan of the Green Bay Packers, his favorite player being Bret Favre.
In his younger years most of his weekends were spent with his sisters, Judy and Cathy, along with other family and friends at Fox Lake. Tom had a real passion for music, those weekends at Fox Lake Tom shared his love for music with others, usually being the "DJ" at gatherings. Tom also enjoyed traveling with friends and family.
Tom was an outdoorsman; he had a love for wildlife and enjoyed the time he spent immersed in it. Outdoor activities that he shared with his brother-in-law Tom, niece Jennifer and nephew Brian included deer, turkey, goose, duck and pheasant hunting, and fishing, especially salmon fishing on Lake Michigan. One of Toms favorite memories was his Alaska trip, he loved reminiscing and telling others about this once in a lifetime trip. In more recent years Tom enjoyed watching and taking pictures of the wildlife surrounding his home.
Tom was known by many for his cooking abilities, he could cook anything, as basic as a burger or as gourmet as lobster, and everything was always exceptional. He was always the main chef at holiday meals, preparing and serving the main course to the family around the table. He had a true passion for cooking food and having what he made enjoyed by others.
Over the last few years, an activity Tom would name as his favorite were his driveway bonfires. His favorite people would come gather around the fire and listen to their favorite music from the 70's and 80's.
Tom is survived by his sister Judy Held, brother-in-law and friend Tom Held, his sister Cathy Nowak and lifelong friend David, niece Jennifer (Tyler) and nephew Brian (Angela) and best friend, his 12 year old yellow lab, Jake, as well as other family members and friends.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Dolores Nowak.
A memorial Service will be held November 11, 2023 at Hartsons Funeral home. Visitation will start at 11:00 with 1:00 pm service to follow.
