Obituary of Thomas Earl Nuttall
Thomas Earl Nuttall, known affectionately as Tom to his family and friends, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2025, at the age of 78 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Born in Shattuck, Oklahoma on March 23, 1947, Tom was a man of resilience, wisdom, and spirit, whose hands were rarely still and whose heart was always generous.
Tom is survived by his beloved wife, Linda Nuttall, with whom he shared a life full of love and laughter. He was a devoted father to Tracy Nuttall and Jennifer Womeldorff, and a father-in-law to David Womeldorff. His legacy continues through his adoring granddaughter, Claudia Nuttall, and grandsons, Jacob and Matthew Womeldorff. Tom was predeceased by his daughter-in-law, Stephanie Pfaff-Nuttall, and his grandson, Joshua Womeldorff. He was the son of the late Roy Nuttall Sr. and Hazel Nuttall, and was also preceded in death by his brothers, Roy Nuttall Jr. and Robert Nuttall. His surviving brother, Richard Nuttall, will hold dear the memories of their shared childhood adventures.
After graduating from Tulsa Technical College, Tom embarked on a fulfilling career as a Journeyman Electrician. His expertise and dedication to his craft were evident to all who worked alongside him. He took pride in his ability to solve complex problems and ensure that every job was completed to the highest standards of safety and quality. Tom's professional life was marked by a strong work ethic and an unwavering commitment to his colleagues and clients.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Tom was an active member of the Elks Lodge, where he formed lasting friendships and contributed to the community with a spirit of camaraderie and service. His involvement in the lodge was a testament to his belief in the importance of fellowship and giving back to others.
An avid outdoorsman, Tom found solace and joy in golf, fishing, and hunting. These pastimes were not merely hobbies for him, but a way to connect with nature and share experiences with those he loved. His stories of early morning tee times, serene fishing trips, and the quiet anticipation of a hunt are cherished memories that will continue to inspire his family and friends.
Those who knew Tom would describe him as handy-a man who could fix anything with a bit of ingenuity and a steady hand. He was wise, often imparting knowledge gained from a life well-lived, and spirited, approaching each day with a zest for life that was infectious. Tom's laughter, sage advice, and the twinkle in his eye when he shared a joke are aspects of his character that will be deeply missed.
Tom's life was one of purpose and joy, and his impact on those around him was immeasurable. He was a pillar of strength for his family, a loyal friend, and a respected member of his community. As we celebrate the life of Thomas Earl Nuttall, we are reminded of the love he shared, the lessons he taught, and the laughter he brought into our lives.
