Tommy is the moon now. That's what his buddy Bell said. She is three and we should believe her. So, when you look up at the moon tell him hello, tell him you love him, and carry him in your heart.
Thomas Allen Peck was born to us December 27, 1972. He was Joanie & Terry's first born.
We lost Terry in 2006, but Joanie is still blessed with their sons Charlie and RJ. Tom's nieces Samara, Sadie Mae, Sophia, and Sarabella will miss him. Their mother Crystal considered Tommy her brother, too. His buddy Bell is trying to come to terms with losing him as are the rest of us. Tom departed Friday December 5, 2025, just minutes after sunset. He'd had a brief illness after complications from a surgical procedure.
His aunt Angie called him her little brother-nephew. She was six when Tom arrived. Aunt Diane and her family always looked forward to time with him when they visited. He was treasured by his grandparents, Luanne & Joe and Hilda & Ray. His great grandparents all the way around thought he was pretty swell, too. He said he knew he was lucky to still have them when he was little, to have the chance to know them some. His Uncle Mike was special to Tom, as was his Uncle Joseph. He had such fun with all of his cousins as they were growing up. Wonderful memories were made. Much good music. Much laughter. Much love.
Tommy graduated from Benzie Central High School. His last marking period he made the honor roll which made him more than proud, it made him $100.00--his mom had told the boys when they made the honor roll, she'd pay them $100.00. It was a great way to finish up!
Tom made friends easily. His peaceful and loving nature drew people to him. One of his first jobs he was a bagger & stocker at Farmer John's. Tom wore his red and white striped shirt proudly as he chatted up the older ladies and carried their bags to their cars. His favorite work though was at the counter at the family's shop-Ray's Bait & Tackle. He knew fishing, how to encourage others, and enjoyed sharing his love of animals and the natural world with customers and friends. Laughter, good stories, and good coffee.
