In Loving Memory of Thomas Stanley Porter

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Thomas Stanley Porter, 62, of Collingdale, PA, who left us peacefully on Thursday, October 30, 2025, in Darby.
Born on February 9, 1963, in Darby, Tommy was the son of the late Martin J. and Doris M. (Bockius) Porter.
Tommy was a hardworking man with a big heart. For nearly 40 years, he worked as a diesel mechanic at Suburban Materials - and there wasn't a thing he couldn't fix. He had a true gift for working with his hands and always showed up ready to help anyone who needed it.
He loved riding his Harley-Davidsons, cooking up a great meal, and spending time surrounded by family and friends. Tommy was also a proud "puppy grandpop" to Colt, Khloe, and Karma Porter - those dogs meant the world to him. He'll be remembered for his humor, his big laugh, and the way he could light up a room just by being himself.
Tommy was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Patricia Porter; his parents, Martin and Doris Porter; and his siblings James Porter, Doris "Sissy" Fetrow(Robert), Linda Black, Joan Hartman(Glenn) and Martin Porter(Toni).
He is survived by his two children Adam and Angela Porter, his loving siblings - Nancy Oravis (Pat), Harry Porter(Cheryl), Denise Mills, Stephen Porter, and Chalie Porter - along with many nieces, nephews, extended family, and lifelong friends who will miss him dearly.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Tommy's life at his viewing on Friday, November 7, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Cavanagh Family Funeral Home, 301 Chester Pike, Norwood. A Prayer Service will follow at 7:00 PM. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations to a local animal shelter in Tommy's memory may be made.
Tommy's hands may be still now, but the love, laughter, and memories he gave will stay with us forever.
