Thomas Edward Reynolds

Thomas (Tom) Edward Reynolds, 80, of Dublin, Ohio, passed away peacefully on February 27, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

A kindhearted man of quiet strength, unwavering integrity, and a quick wit, Tom dedicated his life to his family, his profession, and his country. He was the devoted husband of Martie Kae Reynolds (Mills) for 60 years, a milestone that stood as a testament to their enduring love and partnership.

Born in Glasgow, Kentucky and raised in Xenia, Ohio, Tom answered the call to duty early in life, proudly serving in the U.S. Army. His service included a deployment during the Vietnam War, a period that shaped his character and instilled in him a lifelong sense of discipline and resilience. Following his honorable discharge as a Captain in the U.S. Army, he transitioned to civilian life and built a distinguished career as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), where he was known for his sharp mind, meticulous nature, and hard work.

While he took great pride in his professional work, Tom's greatest joy was his family. He was a constant fixture on the sidelines and in the bleachers, never missing a chance to cheer on his two sons as they grew up playing sports. This tradition continued with his five granddaughters, and nothing made him happier than watching them compete and excel in their own athletic and academic pursuits and grow into wonderful young ladies. He is survived by his beloved wife, Martie; his two sons, Chad Reynolds (and wife Amy) and Gregg Reynolds (and wife Jill); his five granddaughters, Ashley, Emma, Kayla, Leah, and Olivia; his brother Rick Reynolds (Hermina); his sisters Shirley Engle and Brenda Reynolds; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Dovie Reynolds, sister Mary Jo Altman, and brothers-in-law Gene Engle and Robert Altman.

Visiting hours, concluding with a memorial service, to celebrate Tom's life and legacy will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Rutherford Funeral Home at Powell, 450 West Olentangy Street, Powell, Ohio 43065. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Tom's memory to M.A.S.H. Pantry (mashpantry.org).

Tom's legacy of kindness, service, hard work, and devotion to family will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
