Thomas Reynolds Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Cox Funeral Home - Hamilton on Mar. 3, 2026.
Thomas "Wayne" Reynolds, 63 of Shiloh Ga, was born on February 8, 1963, to the late Roxie Moody Reynolds and Will Thomas Reynolds "Bill". Wayne passed surrounded by the love of the family he cherished so deeply.

Wayne was the BEST motor grader operator there was, dedicating more than 40 years to his craft. Over those four decades, he built more than roads - he built friendships, respect, and a lasting legacy. He took great pride in his work and even greater pride in making sure his children knew how to drive and operate anything put in front of them. Teaching, guiding, and passing down knowledge was important to him, especially the special bond and legacy he shared with his nephew, P.J. Morgan.

Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, Roxie Moody Reynolds and Bill Reynolds; his brother, Faron Reynolds; and his sister, Edith Morgan.

He leaves behind five children who were the pride of his life: Jamy Reynolds Hart (James) of Cataula, Sarah Reynolds of Columbus, Ada Woodard (Jeff) of Pine Mountain Valley, Wesley Reynolds of Valley, Alabama, and Kenna Colley of Valley, Alabama and his most favorite child roustabout. He also leaves behind ten cherished grandchildren: Carter Smith, Caleb Smith, Selah Smith, Cole Reynolds, Brooklynn Hart, Savannah Hart, Grayson Woodard, Memphis Woodard, Brodie Woodard, Easton Thomas Case, and Kaitlynn Bell. Each of them carried a piece of his heart.

He is also survived by his favorite person, his sister Linda Tanner, along with his brothers-in-law Sheldon Tanner and Stanley Morgan; In addition to his children and grandchildren, Wayne leaves behind his companion, Samantha Taylor of Talbotton, Georgia, niece Stacy Henderson (Josh), Sarah Brooks (Mitchell), Tabitha Reynolds (Ty), Kinsley Reynolds; nephews Stanley Morgan Jr. (Mary) and P.J. Morgan(Meghan); and many extended family members, including his beloved cousin and Bestfriend Roy (Kathy) Reynolds.

Wayne loved his family fiercely. He fought for the people he loved with the same strength and determination he carried in every part of his life. Whether spending time on the farm surrounded by family, heading to the races, or out hunting, he was happiest when he was with the people he loved most.

Wayne leaves behind a legacy of hard work, loyalty, strength, and unconditional love. Though he will be deeply missed, the lessons he taught, the stories he told, and the love he gave will live on through all who knew him.

The funeral service will be conducted on Sunday, March 8, 2026 beginning at 2:00 PM at Community Chapel in Pine Mountain Valley. Interment will follow in the First Baptist Church of Pine Mountain Valley Cemetery. The family will receive friends for visitation on Saturday, March 7, 2026 from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Cox Funeral Home in Hamilton.
