John Wesley Young

John Wesley Young, 55, of Rincon, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday February 3, 2026, while working in Harris County, GA. John was born January 24, 1971, in Savannah, GA. He was known for his love of working in the transportation industry servicing tractor trailer chassis for over 20 years. In this field John befriended multiple people over the years who he was proud to call them all longtime friends. Not only did people get to know John they also got to know "Raider" his unwavering canine, best friend and companion. When John would visit people no matter at work, offices or just a house visit he always had his side kick with him no matter where he was going. When it comes to people, especially his family, John was known for his extreme picking and teasing, and it always showed when he got the best of you with his laugh and smirking grin. Something we can all agree on is that John would be there for you or help you in any way he could. He loved so many as so many loved him.

John is survived by a sister, Alice Young Jackson of Stilson, GA; sister-in-law, Amy Counts Young of Guyton, GA; niece, Mary Egan (Keith) of Stilson, GA; niece, Bree Taylor (Jason) of Bloomingdale, GA; great nieces and nephews, RJ, Hunter, Nathan, Hailee, Logan, Colton, Lizzie, Lucy, Curtis. and by his most favorite companion "Raider" who is now in the care of his nephew RJ.

John is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Louise Stone; brother, Robert Lee Young; and a missing brother, Roger Joseph Young.

A celebration of John's life will be at the WC Strozier Community Center in Bloomingdale, GA on Wednesday, February 18, 2026 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Please come where friends and family can share memories and honor John's life.
