Thomas Lowell Roberts, affectionately known as Lowell, passed away peacefully on March 29, 2026, in Middletown, Ohio, with his granddaughter by his side. Born on August 5, 1946, in Lebanon, Ohio, Lowell lived a life marked by kindness, positivity, and unwavering faith.
A graduate of Patterson Co-Op, Lowell proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Air Force. Following his military service, he devoted many years to his career at Ohio Bell, where he retired as a Service Technician. After retirement, he spent many years working at First National Bank of Germantown. Those who knew Lowell remember him as a man with a heart of gold, always wearing a smile and willing to lend a helping hand to others.
Lowell was a man of deep faith and dedication to his church community. He found joy in singing in the choir at the Germantown First Church of God, an expression of his love for both music and fellowship. He cherished the simple pleasures of life, including taking walks that allowed him moments of reflection and connection with nature. Lowell could be found walking to and from his home to the bank, in any weather!
Lowell is survived by his beloved granddaughter, Brittany Roberts, and his great-grandson, Axton Roberts. He is also lovingly remembered by his brother Oakley Roberts and sister Iris Helis. Though many family members have gone before him, including his parents Sherman and Vernona Roberts, his wife Diane Roberts, his son Eric Roberts, and four siblings, Lowell's legacy of love, faith, and kindness remains firmly rooted in the hearts of those who had the privilege to know him.
A visitation to honor and remember Lowell will be held on April 2, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Arpp, Root, Carter Funeral Home, 29 N. Main Street, Germantown, Ohio. His funeral service will follow immediately from 1:00 PM with interment taking place at Preble Memory Gardens, 3377 US-35, West Alexandria, Ohio.
Thomas Lowell Roberts’s life was one of service, dedication, and genuine kindness. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, yet fondly remembered for the enduring light he brought into their lives. The family would like to thank the staff and nurses from Ohio's Hospice who cared for Lowell over the past few weeks.
