Tom was born in Des Moines, Iowa on May 1, 1966 to Sharon and Thomas Robinson. Tom is the second youngest of four siblings. He was a playful and curious young man who enjoyed baseball excelling at it to the fullest. Tom attended Redfield High School in Redfield, Iowa until the 11th grade. Later in life, he proudly obtained his GED.

Tom became a father to twins, Lyndsay and Bryan, in October 1989. He later met the love of his life, Amy, in September 2000. On July 29, 2011 Tom and Amy joined in holy matrimony. Despite facing numerous challenges, Tom never wavered in his love for his family or his commitment to them. Together, Tom and Amy brought three children into the world; Amanda, Payton and Tommy.

Tom was a dedicated and skilled craftsman excelling in siding, windows and doors. He took immense pride in his craft and was eager to be a mentor to those who worked alongside him. Tom worked hard to earn the hours of truck driving school and obtained his CDL. He worked for a trucking company and later retired due to health complications.

Tom was known to always be telling a joke; he was full of sarcastic remarks and brought humor to all conversations he was part of. It wasn’t uncommon to find Tom working on something. He was always repairing or building. He was a history buff as well as an invested gardener. Tom enjoyed spending his time fishing and arrowhead hunting. Tom was eager to have his children with him when engaging in fishing, or even late-night car rides. Tom was a lover of music and owner of an extensive playlist. His favorites were ACDC & Metallica.

Tom’s adventurous spirit and boundless enthusiasm will live on in the hearts of those who loved him. Tom’s resilience in the face of adversity was an inspiration to all he met.
