Memorial service for Mr. Thomas George “Ross” Gombossy, 69, of Monroe, LA, will be held at the Sterlington Rd. Mulhearn Funeral Home at 2:00PM Saturday, March 2, 2024, in Monroe. Visitation will be from 12:00PM until service time Saturday in the chapel. 

Ross was born on August 15, 1954, in Sopron, Hungary and passed away on February 26, 2024, in Monroe. He was an Army Veteran and served during the Vietnam War. Ross served on the American Forces Network Radio, in both Korea and Germany, where he was a script writer and DJ interviewing the top 40 musicians performing for the troops. He owned and operated his advertising agency, Ross Creative Services, from Monroe. Ross also served on the board of the Twin City Mayors’ Committee on Disabilities where he provided and raised scholarship funding. His family was the most important element of his life. He strived to do everything “the right way” and lived by example. Ross was preceded in death by his mother, Helga Gombossy; father, Albert Gombossy; and brother-in-law, Scott Fithian. 

Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Barbara Gombossy; two sons, Allen Gombossy, Benjamin Gombossy and wife Tempest; grandchildren, Savannah and Scarlett Gombossy; brother, George Gombossy and wife Laura; and two sisters, Anita Pacitti and husband Dennis and Arlene Fithian. 

His last message to everyone was “Thank you for your Love and Support.”
