Thomas L. Scheidemantle

Thomas L. Scheidemantle, 80, of Dewey Avenue, died Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at his residence in New Castle. He was born on September 14, 1943, in New Castle, the son of the late Harold 'Hud' and Mary (Wise) Scheidemantle. Mr. Scheidemantle married Barbara Ann (Orlando) Scheidemantle on September 7, 1963; she survives in New Castle. He was a UPS Driver retiring after 41 years. Tom enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating, the outdoors, and he loved cars. He really enjoyed yardwork, especially trimming his shrubs. Tommy loved his nightly bowl of ice cream, but most of all, he loved spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children, Bryan T. Scheidemantle and his wife Lori of New Castle and Kellie L. Scheidemantle of Lighthouse Point, FL, three grandchildren, Bryan T. Scheidemantle and his wife Brooke, Brandon D. Scheidemantle, and Madison T. Scheidemantle, two great-grandchildren, Hayden T. and Raegan L. Scheidemantle, and one brother, Greg Scheidemantle of New Castle.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two brothers, Ronald Scheidemantle and Larry Scheidemantle.
Visitation will be held Sunday, August 11, 2024, from 1 PM to 4 PM at the William F. & Roger M. DeCarbo Funeral Home, 926 Cunningham Avenue. A funeral service will be celebrated Sunday, August 11, 2024, at 4:00 PM at the William F. DeCarbo Memorial Chapel. Pastor Ted Saad will officiate. Entombment will be in Parkside Cemetery.
