Thomas L. Schmidt

Thomas Lee Schmidt, 62, of Clarksburg, passed away Wednesday, January 26, 2022, at University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia.
He was born January 18, 1960, in Jefferson City, the son of Louis H. and Geneva R. (Wiser) Schmidt.
On April 28, 1978, in St. Joseph, he married Betsy J. (Knipp).
Tom worked in emergency management for the State of Missouri. He will be remembered as hardworking, thoughtful, caring, generous and dependable.
Surviving are his wife, Betsy, of the home; two daughters, Jennifer Riggs (Dave) of Jefferson City, and Kelly Fisher (Ryan) of St. Joseph; five grandchildren, Dalton Riggs, Dillon Riggs, Samuel Fisher, Sidney Fisher and Ian Fisher; five brothers, Gary Schmidt, Darrell Schmidt (Virginia), Danny Schmidt (Carolyn), Charlie Schmidt, and Bobby Schmidt (Bev); and several beloved nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister-in-law, Glenda Schmidt; nephew, Manix Schmidt; and niece, Stacey Hagerman.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 28, 2022, at Meisenheimer-Page-Dady Funeral Home in Tipton, with Pastor Mike Kelley officiating.
Casket bearers will be Troy Schmidt, Jeff Schmidt, Brian Schmidt, Michael Schmidt, Wade Schmidt and Michael Tuttle.
Burial will be in Hickman Cemetery in Clarksburg.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home.
