Thomas "Tom" Shirey Jr., age 46, of Tarentum, died on November 14, 2025. Born June 25, 1979, in Natrona Heights, PA, he was the son of the late Thomas Shirey Sr. and Sandra (Orsini) Shearer.

Tom is survived by his fiancée, Nicole "Nikki" Hadden and her children, Brady Hadden and Cheyenne Rosenberger; brother, Jim (Stacy) Calligan, James (Cyndi) Shearer, Ed Shirey, Chris Shearer Jr., Tabitha (Dave) Pearson, Maria Shirey (Walt Jordan II); aunts, Gloria Orsini, Marlene Shirey, Donna Shirey and Cathy Shirey; step-dad, Chris Shearer Sr.; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Family for Tom was a chosen bond, not just blood. He embraced the role of step-dad with a full heart, stepping into shoes he didn't have to fill. Fearless of life's challenges, Tom tackled them head-on, living by an all-or-nothing attitude. Those lucky enough to witness the changes in his life over the past four years saw a man dedicated to bettering himself, constantly moving forward with purpose.

His generosity knew no bounds; he was the kind of person who would offer second and third chances, sometimes more than one deserved, but that was Tom-always there, always caring.

Tom was gifted auto body specialist, Tom's hands were capable of restoring the most worn vehicles to their former glory. As the proud owner of Shirey's Auto, Tom was not only a great mechanic but also a mentor and friend to many. His passion for automobiles was evident in the care he took with his prized Dodge Mega Cab Cummings Diesel, a dream he turned into reality.

Tom loved the thrill of the ride whether it was on a Harley, a street bike, or a quad. He rode with a wild spirit, always covered in mud, riding wheelies and living by the saying "if you weren't dirty, you weren't really riding".

Tom will be deeply missed and anyone who knew him thought he was truly one of the best.

Per Tom's wishes there will be no viewing or memorial service.
