Tom was born in Flint, MI on September 27, 1949, son of the late John Bernard and Frances M. (Sitko) Simon. He was a graduate of St. Agnes Catholic High School, Class of 1967. On May 10, 1975, he married the love of his life, Ann Marie DeGrand, in Escanaba, MI. Their 50 years of marriage were filled with deep love, mutual respect, and countless cherished memories. A hardworking and loyal employee, Tom retired from Chevrolet in 2005 after 36 years of service. He took pride in his work and the friendships he formed throughout his career. For 45 years, Tom was a devoted member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, where he actively volunteered his time and talents. His faith was a guiding light throughout his life, shaping his values and actions. Tom had a love for the outdoors and a deep appreciation for nature. He found great joy in gardening, spending peaceful days at the family cottage on Hubbard Lake, and working with his John Deere tractor. He and Ann Marie shared a passion for travel and exploring new places together. Dining out with friends and family was one of his favorite pastimes - always paired with good conversation and laughter. Tom will be remembered for his kind heart, strong work ethic, and unwavering devotion to his family and community. His presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew him and loved him.

Tom is survived by his wife, Ann Marie Simon; friends who became family, Tawnya (Dave) Stock, Frances Trotman, Gladstone B. Trotman, Mitch (Debra) Wardosky, Gwyn (Tom) Farkas, Stallman family and Deb Lorenz; many other loving family members and good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Bernard and Frances Mary Simon and his brother, Edward Francis Simon.

I worked with Tom for a few weeks at Renolds Aluminum on a line of Aluminum bumpers. I worked with him in plant 38. He was a great guy, a fine human being, and I appreciate having known him. Much Love
