His painting would bring joy not only to himself but to anyone who got the pleasure of seeing his creations come to life. He would spend many Sunday afternoons watching the NASCAR race, cheering for his favorite drivers. The races were the perfect break from Oklahoma’s hot summer days spent gardening. Thomas tended his garden with care and attentiveness seeing to its every need to keep it alive and flourishing. Thomas also had a love for singing and writing poetry. During his life he was the song leader at church as well as singing in the choir. He wrote many songs and poems expressing his love for God and his family.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Singleton of the home; daughters, Karen Kidder of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Stephanie (Mark) Marazas of Ponca city, Oklahoma; sons, Kristofer (Trisha) Johnson of Newkirk, Oklahoma and Bryan Johnson of Wichita, Kansas.
