Thomas A. Snyder, 82 of Phoenix, Arizona, peacefully passed away on November 14, 2025, in Tempe, Arizona, with his beloved wife, Angie F. Snyder, by his side. Born on September 10, 1943, in York, Pennsylvania, Thomas went on to enjoy a life dedicated to his family, career, and giving back to the community.
His educational journey began at Penn State University, where he pursued three years of medical school before shifting his focus to engineering and design. He later obtained an associate degree from Mesa Community College, setting himself up with the skills that would pave the way for a fulfilling career as a mechanical engineer. Over the course of 17 years in the engineering field and 26 years of self-employment, Thomas left his mark through his contributions to various projects, including the proud acquisition of a patent through General Electric for a battery backup clock radio, and training engineers to operate heavy construction equipment.
Beyond his professional achievements, Thomas was committed to serving others. He was actively involved with the nonprofit organization Valley Big Brothers, where he took on the role of a "Big Brother," positively impacting the lives of many children. His passions also extended to aviation as he held a pilot license, and he was also a practicing Real Estate agent in the valley. Additionally, he made significant contributions to the real estate community by forming the Scottsdale Young Realtors Group.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Thomas' life on Tuesday, December 2, 2025. Services will begin with a Rosary at 11:00 AM, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:30 AM, all held at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 3550 E. Knox Road, Phoenix, AZ 85044. Entombment will immediately follow at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery, 2033 N. 48th Street, Phoenix, AZ 85008, starting around 1:00 PM.
Thomas A. Snyder's legacy will be remembered not only through his professional accomplishments but also through the compassion he showed to the community and the love he shared with his wife Angie throughout their 48 years together. He will be deeply missed by those who had the privilege to know him.
