Dear Shelly and Rob,
I´m so glad I got to see that video of Tommy. It was an honor getting to meet you both and I can´t imagine what you´re going through. But I´m comforted seeing how many people Tommy brought friendship and love to in his life and how important he was to so many.

My heart feels broken. How could this be? Tommy worked so very hard, for so very long. As a parent, I feel shattered. I cannot allow myself to actually imagine how his parents must feel. I am trying to find the silver lining here. How fortunate, Rob and Shelly, you were to be father and mother to this young man. You loved him beyond measure, and he felt that every day of his life. This is a reminder for those of us still here, to practice gratitude. I didn't know Tommy, but I knew his mom. Her love for him was rock solid, always. Perhaps it is what gave Tommy the strength he need to keep getting up again, after being knocked down. I am thinking of Tommy's family constantly. May they find peace and understanding for the brevity of their time with their beloved son. We are all here for lessons. Soar, Tommy. So many here now can say they have an angel in the wings. I am wishing love in every single aspect of healing for his family. God Bless you, Tommy, and all the loved ones left without your presence. I am so sorry you have to go...
