My sincere condolences to Tom´s family and friends.
I had the honor of working with Tom in Waterbury, CT back in the early 2000s. He was such a kind, witty, and funny man - he could make me laugh until I cried. He always spoke so highly of his family and was so proud of them. I wish we had kept in touch after he moved from Connecticut.
It was truly a privilege to work alongside Tom. He was an amazing person, and I will always cherish the wonderful memories.

Tom and I met in high school in West Haven. We joined the Marine Corps under the buddy system in 1961. Although we moved all over the country, we were just a phone call away and maintained a friendship for over 64 years. Tom liked to end a call by saying Semper Fi. So I say to you my friend, Semper Fi. We will all miss you

Big Hank and Tish raised the most wonderful family. We lived a door away on Ivy Street in West Haven. Tommy was slightly older than me and we would play baseball in the street until the street lights came on. My parents and I missed them for many years after they moved. Tommy and his family left so many nice memories.

Some friendships are forged in fire. Tom Stackpole was one of those rare, enduring friends who walked with my father through some of life´s most defining moments. They met as teenagers in Boot Camp at Parris Island. From the beginning, Tom was the kind of man who showed up. He was there for my father through those early days of becoming Marines, and over the decades. And no matter how much time passed between visits, they always picked up right where they left off, like true brothers.
After my mother passed away, Tom flew across the country from California without telling anyone, just to be there for my dad. He walked into her wake in New York and said simply, "I needed to be here for my wingman." That´s who Tom was; selfless, and loyal. A one-of-a-kind friend you can only hope to be blessed with in this lifetime.
Last year, Tom and my dad returned together to Parris Island, the place where it all began. Two old friends retracing the steps of their youth, reflecting on the boys they were and the men they became. I´m grateful that they shared that time together. I can´t thank Tom enough for being the kind of friend every person hopes to have and every family is grateful to know. He will be deeply missed by his friends and family.
Semper Fi, Tom. Thank you - Elaine Walsh

We are so saddened by Tom´s passing. It was an honor to share so many days with him, both on the golf course and at family gatherings. I always looked forward to playing golf with Tom; he made every round fun and was always there with a kind word and a genuine check-in. He truly cared about the people around him.
Our hearts go out to Linda, Tom Jr., Starr, and the whole family. Tom will be deeply missed, but the memories will be with us forever. ~Arman and Laura
