Thomas Michel Stanley, 82 of Biloxi passed away on July 1, 2024. He was born on December 19, 1941 in Biloxi to Hubert and Shirley Stanley, and resided in Biloxi for the last 55 years.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Sylvia Stanley, who passed in July 2023.
Survivors include his children Thomas Stanley Jr (Carla) and James Michael Stanley (Kathy); grandchildren Scott Stanley (Greer), Corey Asarisi (Colby) and great grandson Dennis. His siblings were Gerry Raymond, William Stanley and Mary Donlin.
Thomas served in the US Army and was a long-time AT&T employee. His many talents included being a licensed electrician and he could fix almost anything. He loved the outdoors as an avid fisherman and bird watcher and enjoyed a long retirement filled with long walks and caring for his adoring puppies.
Services will be held on Wednesday, July 10th 2024, at 11:00 AM, with visitation starting at 10:00 AM, at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 274 Beauvoir Rd. Biloxi, MS. Interment with military honors will follow at Biloxi National Cemetery, 400 Veterans Ave. Biloxi, MS.
Immediately follow the service, family and friends are invited back to the funeral home from 1:00 – 3:00 pm for a Celebration of Life Reception.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in his honor to the Dementia Society of America.
The family would like to thank all the wonderful nurses and staff at the Greenbriar Nursing Facility in D’Iberville for their excellent care. They helped ensure he was happy and healthy during the last year of his life.
