Thomas Stockman, age 70 of Crofton, Nebraska died on Monday, November 17, 2025 at the Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Bloomfield, Nebraska.
A Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 25, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the Wintz Funeral Home in Crofton with Justin Bossman officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Burial of his cremated remains will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of the Wintz Funeral Home in Crofton.
Thomas Allen was born on February 20, 1955 in Brownwood, Texas to Thomas A. and Catherine Ester (Fuchs) Stockman Sr. He grew up in Brownwood, TX and moved to Camarillo, CA and graduated High School there. Thomas then received his Associated Degree with training in Pre-Med and Physical Therapy. Thomas worked for six years at the Yankton State Hospital before he moved back to Camarillo to work as a private duty nurse in nursing homes, clinics, and hospitals for 37 years in California. Thomas married Theresa Margaret McManus and later divorce. He then married Christal Stephens and later divorced. His third marriage was to Cheryl Kingdon. They were together until her death. Thomas moved back to Crofton in 2020 and had been a resident of the Good Samaritan nursing home in May of 2024.
Thomas loved his children and grandchildren. He liked bingo and following his New Orleans Saints NFL football team. Thomas appreciated the staff at Good Samaritan and he enjoyed the friendly harassing with them.
Thomas is survived by his four children – Michael Stockman & Marilyn Heidzig of Sioux Falls, SD, Josephine (John) Lucht of Crofton, NE, David (Brenda) Stockman of Yankton, SD, Eric (Missy) Stockman of Des Moines, IA; two stepsons Evan (Deanna) Means of Camarillo, CA, Eric (Ashwini) Means of Reno, NV; 12 grandchildren; one sister Patricia (Carl) Fivash of Brownwood, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Cheryl; two brothers Robert L. Stockman, John Edward Stockman; and step-sister Elizabeth.
