Thomas Joseph Straub, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and master mechanic, passed away on April 28, 2025 at the age of 68. Born on December 12, 1956, his life was marked by his dedication to his family and his craft.

In 1985, Tom opened Straub's Auto, which he owned and operated for over 40 years and which remains a pillar in New Boston's community today. Tom was a master mechanic, whose skill and knowledge kept the community safely on the road for decades. Tom treated every customer like family, and he took great pride in his work. Tom operated Straub's Auto alongside his wife, Cindy, and later their son, Kyle, both of whom continue the family-owned legacy today.

Tom had a true passion for cars, not only in his career but in his personal life, as well. He also enjoyed fishing and boating, activities that allowed him to embrace the tranquility of nature and enjoy sharing time with his family.

Tom was preceded in death by his siblings, Timothy Straub, Theresa Straub, and Paul Straub, as well as his parents, James and Mary Straub. He is survived by his devoted wife, Cindy Straub; his children, Kyle Straub and his wife Falon, and Shannon Straub and her partner Tyler. Tom was a proud grandfather to Kinley, Bryce, and Isla, who brought immense joy to his later years. He is also survived by his siblings, James Straub and his wife Laura, and Michael Straub.

Tom will be remembered for his unwavering work ethic, his love for his family, and his generous spirit. His memory will be cherished by all who knew him.
