Thomas P. Tavernier

Thomas P. Tavernier 78, of Malone passed away on March 26, 2025 at home with his devoted wife by his side. Arrangements are under the direction of Frary Funeral Home and Cremation Services Malone. Tom was born on February 13, 1947 to the late Edward and Elizabeth (Fayette) Tavernier in Malone. He graduated from Franklin Academy in 1965. He entered the United States in January of 1966. He was honorably discharged in October of 1968 as a Sargent with decoration of medals for his expert marksmanship with a rifle and a National Defense Service. Tom married Marie Dupra on April 30, 1988 at the St. Joseph's Church with Father Daniel Keefe officiating. Tom worked for Joe's Glass as an installer and office manager until his retirement in 2009, prior to that he worked for Superior Glass and before that ALCOA. He was a member of the American Legion. The light of his eye were his grandchildren. Tom was an avid fisherman and hunter. He loved to watch car racing and sports, where he would always cheer for the underdog. Tom leaves behind his wife Marie, his daughters; Brandy (Brandon) Monette of Malone and Sarah (Kyle) Fassett of Malone, grandchildren; Malachi, Ethan and Shaelynn, a brother Richard (Cathy) Tavernier of Malone, and his sisters; Laura (Paul) Walbridge of Malone and Lisa (Dominic) Barse of North Bangor along with many nieces and nephews.
