Thomas Edward TerMeer, born on September 29, 1948, passed away on March 30, 2025. He was the beloved husband of Linda TerMeer, with whom he shared 57 wonderful years of marriage.
Tom is preceded in death by his parents, Robert & Dorothy (Dexter) TerMeer, who instilled in him the values of love and family. He is also preceded in death by his siblings: Bob TerMeer, Bill TerMeer and Carol TerMeer.
He is survived by his wife Linda; his children: Tom (Erin) TerMeer and Doug (Melissa) TerMeer; siblings: John (Marge) TerMeer, Janet Adams, Diane Higley and Alice TerMeer; Three grandchildren: Taylor (Robby) Lutz, Zakary (Carly) TerMeer and Alivia TerMeer.
Tom attended Jenison High School but moved to Plainwell for his last year. A graduate of Plainwell High School class of 1966, Tom met Linda in his senior year. They were married on July 8th, 1967. They settled down in the Plainwell area where Tom built a successful career building houses. He built over 600 houses in the Plainwell area.
Tom enjoyed racing and sponsored many race cars at the Kalamazoo Speedway. He was passionate about woodworking and restoring cars. He enjoyed watching the Detroit Tigers but was known to yell at the TV a time or two during the game. He also loved to watch the grandkids play sports.
Following his wishes, cremation has taken place.
Tom will be deeply missed but his memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him.
