With a heavy heart, we gather to honor the life of Thomas E. Thompson aka(Muddpuppy), whose spirit and love graced our world from April 18, 1955, until his sudden passing on January 30, 2025. A devoted husband of 50 years to his beloved wife Amy Thompson and the beloved owner of his dog Lucky. `
Tom’s family was the most important thing in his life, holding a central and irreplaceable position in his values and priorities. He was a proud father to Katie (Josh) Lonnemann and Tommy (Tasha) Thompson, and a treasured grandfather to Carryn, Griffin, Dominic, Avery, Ellie, and Carson. Amongst the laughter and joy he shared with his grandchildren, the warmth of family gatherings, highlighted by his talents in grilling and having his fish fry's from the fish that he caught even though there was only enough to feed one or two people, shall remain etched in the hearts of all who knew him.
Raised in the nurturing embrace of his parents, Homer and Margaret Thompson, Tom carried with him a legacy of kindness and determination. He was more than just a metal fabricator with Paul Wilke & Son; he was a true craftsman and handyman at heart, always eager to lend a hand to anyone in need. His knack for renovating projects around the house was complemented by his passion for fishing and working on vintage cars—hobbies that reflected both his creativity and his dedication to craftsmanship.
A proud alumnus of Oak Hills High School and band, Tom’s personality radiated warmth and enthusiasm. He was not only a brother to Tim (Pat) Thompson, Lloyd (Pam) Thompson, Linda (Roy) Light, and Marietta (Mark) Curnayn, but also a cherished uncle to numerous nieces and nephews, who will carry forward the laughter and love he imparted.
Though he is preceded in death by his beloved sister, Lorene Thompson, Tom leaves behind a legacy that will continue to resonate within the bonds of his family. His memory will forever be celebrated in the stories that will be shared, in the games played, and in the love that endures.
A visitation to honor Thomas E. Thompson will be held on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Vitt, Stermer & Anderson Funeral Home, located at 4619 Delhi Pike, Cincinnati, OH 45238.
