Thomas "Tom" M. Poorman, 71, of Fremont passed away on Thursday, September 5, 2024. He was born in Fremont to the late Donald C. and Phyllis M. (Chapman) Poorman.
Tom was a 1971 Fremont Ross High School graduate. He later attended Terra Tech's Machinists and Tool and Die Maker program where he learned the skills needed to work for his father's business, Park Tool & Die. Later, Tom went to work for Walmart as a Department Manager.
In his spare time Tom stayed active being on several bowling and dart ball leagues and softball teams. He enjoyed fantasy football and watching Ohio State and Cleveland Browns Football. He could be found playing lots of euchre at the Fremont Yacht Club.
Left to cherish his memories are his daughter, Andrea (Scott) Baker of Ormond Beach, FL; brother, Ron Poorman of Fremont; and long time companion, Patti Metcalf of Fremont.
Visitation for Tom will be held on on Friday, September 13th from 10-Noon at the Herman-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Crematory, Fremont with a Memorial Service starting at Noon. Pastor Lawrence Rhea from the Church on 53 will officiate.
Memorials in honor of Thomas may be made to: the Sandusky County Humane Society or to the Church on 53.
