Harry E. Poorman, IV, 59, of Bellefonte, passed away peacefully with his loving wife by his side at his home on Monday, December 1, 2025. Born March 30, 1966, in Bellefonte, he was the son of the late Harry E. Poorman, III and Linda (Rhoads) Gilbert. On September 14, 2013, he married the love of his life, Kimberly A. Reigh, who survives him.
Harry was a proud 1984 graduate of Bellefonte Area High School. He went on to build a long and dedicated career as an IT Specialist at Penn State University, retiring in 2018 after 28 years of service. His colleagues remember him for his steady presence, quick wit, and unwavering work ethic.
A passionate supporter of Penn State athletics, Harry rarely missed a wrestling meet-traveling near and far to cheer on his team. He was also a faithful follower of Penn State football, the Pittsburgh Steelers, and the Pittsburgh Penguins. Whether he was traveling, camping, or riding his Harley, Harry embraced every opportunity for adventure. He cherished poker nights with friends, earning a reputation as a formidable Texas Hold 'Em player, and he found simple joy in a good cigar while relaxing in his favorite recliner at camp, always joking that he had to "hold the recline down so it didn't walk out."
Harry was a proud and active member of the Bellefonte Elks Lodge #1094, Bellefonte Moose Club #206, Bellefonte VFW Post 1600, and the Bellefonte Undine Fire Company. He loved being surrounded by friends, sharing stories, laughter, and a competitive game of pool.
In addition to his wife, Kim, Harry is survived by his son, Jacob R. Poorman and his wife, Camille, of Culpeper, VA; his daughter, Cassi Jo Poorman of Bellefonte; his stepdaughter, Marissa J. Kutchner and her husband, Aaron, of Lakewood, CO; and his half-sister, Pam Gilbert of Howard.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Becky (DeArmitt) Poorman, who passed on November 4, 2005; and an infant brother.
Honoring Harry's wishes, no services will be held at this time. A Celebration of Life will take place in the spring of 2026 and will be announced at a later date.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Daughenbaugh Funeral Home, Inc., Milesburg, PA. Online condolences may be shared with the family through their website.
