Linda L. Rogers, 74, of Howard, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at the Lock Haven Rehabilitation and Senior Living Home. Born February 22, 1951, in State College, she was the daughter of the late John and Jean (Richards) Bloom, Sr. On March 17, 1972, she married the love of her life, John Rogers, in Wingate. They shared more than 50 years of marriage before his passing on January 30, 2023.
Linda was a 1969 graduate of State College Area High School and went on to earn her LPN certification from Centre County Vo-Tech in 1970. She dedicated many years of service to Centre Community Hospital in Bellefonte and State College. Later in her career, Linda found deep fulfillment working as a Private Duty Nurse, providing compassionate care to individuals wishing to remain in their homes. Nursing was more than a career to her-it was a calling-and she made countless lasting friendships along the way.
Linda was a woman of many interests. She enjoyed crocheting, tending to her plants-especially her beloved spider plant-working on word search puzzles, and playing games on her tablet. She was an excellent cook and a devoted Penn State football fan. She was also a member of the Mormon faith.
She is survived by her two daughters, Brenda Loesch and Tammy Anderson, both of Bellefonte; four grandchildren, Brandy Ripka, Rebecca Ardery (Blake), David Loesch, Jr., and Jeremy Loesch.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Linda was preceded in death by her brother, John Bloom, Jr., and two sisters, Shirley Lehman and Peg Eggler. She was the last of her generation.
In keeping with Linda's wishes, all services will be private. She will be laid to rest beside her husband, John, at Schenck's Cemetery in Howard Township.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Daughenbaugh Funeral Home, Inc., Milesburg, PA. An online guestbook and condolence messages may be shared with the family at www.daughenbaughfuneralhome.com.
