Obituary published on Legacy.com by Daughenbaugh Funeral Home, Inc - Milesburg (formerly Wetzler) on Nov. 14, 2025.
Larry E. Beahm, 88, of Milesburg, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at Mount Nittany Medical Center. Born on March 23, 1937, in Aaronsburg, he was the son of the late Carl R. and Katherine (Bright) Beahm. On November 3, 1956, in Aaronsburg, he married the love of his life, Priscilla (Meyer) Beahm, who survives at home.
Larry was a 1955 graduate of East Penns Valley High School. He worked for West Penn Power as a Meter Reader for 10 years and in the Customer Engineering Department at Murata Erie for 36 years until his retirement. After retirement, he served on the Board of Directors for SPE Federal Credit Union and also worked at Mayes Memorial in Lemont.
A devoted member of Curtin Eagle Chapel, Larry was active in nearly every aspect of church life. He served on the church board for over 20 years, helped organize countless fundraising events, and was known as the "go-to guy" whenever questions arose.
Larry liked Elvis Presley and the Detroit sports teams. He loved all sports, especially any sport that involved a ball. He was a longtime member of the Bellefonte Bowling League and participated in numerous golf leagues over the years. A proud Penn State fan, he ushered at Penn State Football games for more than 50 years and also volunteered for other Penn State sporting events, though football always held a special place in his heart.
One of Larry's greatest personal accomplishments was restoring his 1928 Dodge. Starting with little more than a frame and four wheels, he rebuilt the entire car himself and proudly took it out for special occasions. Although he enjoyed his Starting, he would have rather had a '49 Merc.
Larry is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Priscilla; two children, Scott Beahm and his wife, Mary, of Fernandina Beach, FL, and Laura Garver and her husband, Jonathan, of Aaronsburg; two grandchildren, Devin Gorr and her husband, Kevin, and Trevor Beahm and his wife, Kiana; and one great-granddaughter, Blair Beahm.
In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his sister, Phyllis Chamberlin.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Daughenbaugh Funeral Home in Milesburg, with Pastor Dan Shreckengast officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Curtin Eagle Chapel, 305 Curtin Village Rd, Howard, PA 16841
