Thomas Robert Tone, known to many as Tom, was born on March 8, 1980 to Jerry and Harvey Tone in
Deming, New Mexico and passed away on December 17, 2025.
Tom married the love of his life, Krystle Tone, after the two met in College Station. They shared 20 years of marriage and celebrated that milestone on June 25. Their bond was undeniably strong and full of laughter. One of their favorite sayings was, "we're the TwoTones, we've got this!" Tom often said the best day of his life was the day he married Krystle.
In 2014, he began his career with the United States Postal Service as a carrier. Over the next 11 years, his strong work ethic and dedication led him into leadership roles including Postmaster and Retail Post Office Operations Maintenance Support Specialist. He was recognized many times throughout his career for his performance and commitment to doing things the right way.
He was known for his easygoing personality, his quick wit and his ability to make people laugh at any moment. He had a gift for leading others with compassion and kindness and made a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. His friends and family will never forget the way he showed up for people and made life a little lighter just by being himself.
Tom loved the outdoors and traveling to new places, especially visiting National Parks. He was a great cook, a skilled handyman and someone you could always count on to help fix or build just about anything. He enjoyed football, cheering on the Houston Astros and spending time with his beloved fur-children Milo and Maisie.
A strong Christian, Tom was deeply rooted in his faith and lived it out daily through his actions, his leadership and his love for others.
He was preceded in death by his father Jerry Tone and his brother Timothy Legere.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 20 years Krystle Tone, his mother Harvey Ann Tone, his stepmother Marty Tone, his siblings Jeremy Tone, Jennifer Tone and Paige McLeod and her husband Robert, Wendy Harding and her husband Alan, his father mother-in-law, John and Karen Alston, his beloved fur-children Milo and Maisie, along with numerous nieces, nephews as well many extended family members and friends.
A celebration of Tom's life will be held on January 3, 2026 at Hillier Funeral Home in College Station with a visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. and the service to follow at 11:00 a.m.
In honor of Tom's love for animals, the family asks that donations be considered to Aggieland Humane Society in lieu of flowers.
