Thomas Wade "Tom" Waldrup

Thomas "Tom" Wade Waldrup, 84, of Flippin, Arkansas passed away on Saturday, July 26, 2025, in Mountain Home, Arkansas. Tom was born on June 28, 1941, in Searcy, Arkansas to Joseph and Mary (Fulton) Waldrup. He worked many years as an educator, serving as a teacher and administrator. Shortly after retiring as the principal of Seymour, Missouri High School, he took a job at the Department of Corrections. During that stretch of employment, he taught GED classes to the inmates. Later on, he served as a substitute teacher at different schools. He was a loving man and tried to lead by example. Tom loved to read and was himself, a published author. He was a member of St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Yellville, Arkansas.

He is survived by his wife, Earlene (McCullah) Waldrup; one son, Tom Waldrup and his wife, Anne; one daughter, Charity Strong and her husband, Jeff; one stepdaughter, Janice Myers and multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Jack and Joseph Waldrup and his first wife, Mary Lou Waldrup.

A visitation will be held at St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Yellville, Arkansas from 11 a.m. until noon on Thursday, July 31, 2025. A funeral mass will begin at noon with Fr. Ben Riley officiating. Burial will follow at Layton Cemetery.
