Thomas Jeremiah "Jerry" Wall

Thomas Jeremiah "Jerry" Wall, 90, of Douglas, passed away peacefully on the morning of Friday, December 26, 2025. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 68 years, Loretta P. (Jankowski) Wall, who passed in September of 2024.

Jerry leaves his devoted sons: Thomas Wall and his wife Debbie, Timothy Wall, and Matthew Wall and his husband Richard; his loving grandchildren: Pat Wall (Katie), Andy Wall, Zach Wall (Sarah), and James Wall (Mikaela); great-grandchildren, Emily, John, Caleb, William, Eli, and Luke; and his sister, Mae Pogorek. He was predeceased by his brothers, William, Robert, Edward, and James Wall.

Jerry was born in Worcester, son of the late John and Mary (Loftus) Wall. He was raised and educated in Worcester, prior to enlisting in the U.S. Marine Corps. Jerry served his country proudly from 1954 to 1957 and was stationed in Okinawa and Korea. Upon his honorable discharge from the Marines, he worked for Telechron, General Electric, and Reed- Rico.

Jerry loved staying active – in his younger years, he was a boxer and runner, and as he aged, began to enjoy walking and golfing. He even got a hole-in-one at the third hole of Leicester Country Club. Jerry loved being outdoors, whether it be working in his vegetable garden, camping with the whole Wall clan every Independence Day and Labor Day weekends, or fishing. He and Loretta enjoyed travelling, and some of their favorite trips were Italy, Bermuda, Vegas, and many, many memorable bus trips. He tossed horseshoes at the Beagle Club and enjoyed playing daily cribbage games with Loretta – despite the fact that he rarely won.

Jerry was proud of his military service and was Past Commander of the Douglas VFW Post 7554. He also served as a volunteer firefighter for the Town of Northborough.

The Wall family would like to share a special 'thank you' with the caring staff of Atria Draper Place in Hopedale, and CareOne at Millbury, for their compassion and kindness for Jerry.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with the Wall family between 10 – 11 AM on Monday, January 5, 2026 at the BRITTON-WALLACE FUNERAL HOME, 91 Central Street, Auburn, with a service to follow at 11 AM. Burial will be held privately.
