Thomas Robert Walsh

Thomas Robert Walsh, Sr., 76, of Union, NJ, passed away on July 14, 2025. A funeral mass will be held at St. Michael the Archangel Church, 1212 Kelly St. in Union on Thursday, July 24th at 10:15am. Interment is private. Visiting hours at Bradley, Haeberle & Barth Funeral Home. 1100 Pine Ave. in Union will be on Wednesday, July 23rd from 4 to 8pm.
Born in Jersey City, the son of Joseph and Alice (England) Walsh, Tom was raised in Lyndhurst and graduated from St. Benedict's Prep. in Newark. He had lived in Union since 1982. Tom proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He worked as an Automotive Service Advisor for Hudson Hyundai in Jersey City and Budget Rent a Car in Newark. Earlier in his career he was an automotive mechanic. Tom was a Fourth Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus, Council 4504 in Union. He was also a member of the Blessed Sacrament Golden Knights Drum and Bugle Corps, and the Tin Can Sailors. In his spare time, Tom loved fishing, especially the Manasquan inlet.
Tom was the beloved husband of 48 years to Carol. He was the loving father of Thomas Walsh, Jr. and his wife Francesca, Daniel Walsh, and Jennifer Walsh-McNorton and her husband Sean. He is also survived by his dear sister, Margaret "Peggy" Walsh.
