Thomas Ward Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Crevasse's Simple Cremation - Jacksonville on Jan. 9, 2026.
Thomas E. Ward, 58, of Newberry, Florida passed away January 6, 2026.

Thomas E. Ward passed away leaving behind a life defined by service, loyalty, and an unwavering love for his family. A proud veteran of the United States Army, Thomas carried his military service in his heart every day of his life. He deeply loved the military and the brotherhood it gave him, forming lifelong bonds with his fellow service members men who were not just buddies, but family.

Thomas found joy in the simple things that meant the most to him. He loved classic rock music, often letting it fill the room and bring back memories of days gone by. He was an avid collector of coins and guns, treasures that reflected his appreciation for history, tradition, and meaning behind every piece.

Above all else, Thomas was a devoted and loving father. He was incredibly proud of his twin daughters, Ashley Ward and Amber Ward. Watching them grow into strong women and follow in his footsteps by serving in the military was one of the greatest honors of his life. He spoke of them with pride, admiration, and endless love.

Thomas was also a cherished grandfather to Nolan, Eli, Brayden, and Wrenlee. His grandchildren were the light of his life, bringing him laughter, comfort, and peace. He spent his final days surrounded by them, holding close the moments that mattered most and leaving this world wrapped in their love.

In addition to his children and Grandchildren he is also survived by his siblings, Garnett Griffin, Ralph Ward, and Amanda Hastings, who will remember him as a brother whose strength, loyalty, and heart could always be counted on.

Thomas E. Ward will be remembered as a man of honor one who served his country proudly, loved his family fiercely, and lived his life with authenticity and heart. Though he will be deeply missed, his legacy lives on through his daughters, his grandchildren, and all those who were blessed to know and love him.

Crevasse's Simple Cremation is honored to serve the Ward family.
