Thomas Weigand Obituary
Thomas C. Weigand, 81, of Akron, passed away on March 18, 2025. He was born on February 29, 1944 the son of the late Louis and Berneda Weigand of Proctor, West Virginia. Tom proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He retired from Goodyear/ABS after 44 years of dedicated service. Tom was a man of faith and was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church. He was a muscle car enthusiast and enjoyed going to car shows. He will always be remembered for his sense of humor, being quick to smile, and the love in his heart for his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings Howard Weigand, Edgar Weigand, and Eleanor McGuckin.
Tom is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Patricia A. Weigand; daughter Teresa Saurer; granddaughter Madison Saurer; siblings Jerome Weigand and Deborah (John) Miles; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held from 4:00pm to 6:00pm, Thursday, March 27th at Newcomer Funeral home (131 N. Canton Rd., Akron) where services will be held at 6:00pm with Deacon Robin Adair.
