Schrader-Howell Funeral HomeCarol Anne Weigand, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, left this world on December 9, 2025 at the age of 76. Born on August 5, 1949, in Detroit, MI, Carol devoted her life to caring for others as a daughter, sister, mother, wife, and nurse.
Carol's memory lives on through her cherished family. She was the loving and proud wife of Donald Weigand, who walked by her side through life's many journeys since they met at the age of 15. Together, they nurtured a family that brought endless joy and love. Carol’s two beloved daughters, Jennifer (Rich) Michalski and Krista (Ryan) Staudacher, carry forth her legacy of kindness and strength. She now joins her son Jeffrey in Heaven. As a grandmother, her heart swelled with pride for her grandchildren — Samantha, Liam, Penelope, and Maddox.
Carol is survived by her husband, Donald, daughters Jennifer and Krista, and her adored grandchildren. She is also remembered warmly by her sister, Rose Houle, and sister-in-laws, Laureen Grosse and Sherry Rayburn.
A visitation to honor Carol's life will be held on December 13, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Schrader-Howell Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow on December 15, 2025, at 11:00 AM, with a viewing at 10:30 AM where family and friends will gather to celebrate the remarkable woman she was and the endless love she bestowed upon her family.
If you would like to make a donation in Carol’s memory, it may be made to either St. Michael Lutheran Church or Angela Hospice.
