Thomas L. Williams

Attorney Thomas L. Williams, age 84, of Winder, GA (formerly of Buford, GA) passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2025. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Louise Cox Williams, and brother, James L. Williams. Mr. Williams is survived by his loving wife of forty-two years, Dixie Bales Williams; sister, Doris Ann Williams of Memphis, TN; brothers-in-law, Jon Kevin (Sherri) Black of Winder, and Allan Black and Kelly McQueen of Dacula, GA; special friend and ex-sisters-in-law, Barbara Ethridge Taylor of Winder, and JoAnn Burel of Buford, GA; and nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Mr. Williams was born on February 4, 1941 in Memphis, TN. He graduated from Messick High School in Memphis and then attended Memphis State University and John Marshall Law School, and received his license to practice law in May of 1974. He was a retired attorney, having practiced law in Lawrenceville for over forty years. He was a member of the Gwinnett Bar Association and of the Georgia Bar Association. Mr. Williams was a member of the Buford Church of God for over forty years where he sang in the choir. He loved snow skiing and reading.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Pastor Joey Grizzle and Pastor Mike Grizzle officiating. Interment will follow at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens in Buford, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 12:00 noon until 3:00 p.m.
