Thomas Wollner Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Jacqueline M. Ryan Home for Funerals Inc. on Nov. 12, 2024.
Thomas "Tommy" Wollner, 74, a cherished father, brother, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 11, 2024, at home. Born on October 12, 1950, in Taylor, PA, he was raised in Newark, came to Keansburg in 1978 and has lived in the Bayshore area since. Tommy was a man whose warmth spirit left an indelible mark on the hearts of those he encountered.
Tommy was predeceased by his loving parents, George and Catherine Wollner Sr., his wife Edith Wollner, and his brother George Wollner Jr. His legacy continues through his three daughters, Melissa, Toni, and Stephanie Wollner, and their mother Cheryl Wollner. Tommy's life was further enriched by the joy of his brother Raymond Wollner. His five grandsons, Casey Davis, Devin Wollner, Dante Finley Jr., Darius Finley, and Desmond Herring and his 4 nieces, who will carry forward the lessons of kindness he instilled in them.
For over four decades, Tommy dedicated his talents to Oswald Entertainment as a skilled sewer, a role that he performed with precision and pride until his retirement six years ago. He could always be relied upon to brighten the workday with his easy smile and gentle nature.
Tommy's interests painted the picture of a man deeply connected to the simple joys of life. He was an avid fan of the San Francisco 49ers. His love for playing pool was well-known, with many evenings spent perfecting his shot and enjoying the company of friends around the billiards table. Music held a special place in Tommy's heart, particularly the tunes of Elvis Presley, whose songs could often be heard filling the rooms of his home, much to the delight of his family.
Above all, Tommy was a loving and caring person, whose generosity of spirit knew no bounds. He approached life with a sense of wonder and a belief in the goodness of people. His genuine concern for others made him a beacon of light. Tommy's ability to find happiness in the everyday and his unwavering support of his loved ones are the hallmarks of a life well-lived.
"Tommy" Wollner, exemplified kindness, and passion for life's simple pleasures, and an enduring love for family and friends. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Arrangements were conducted by the Jacqueline M. Ryan Home for Funerals 233 Carr Ave. Keansburg. Cremation will be private.
