Thomas Hosea "Tommy" Wood

Thomas "Tommy" Hosea Wood, a beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully at his home in Caddo Mills, Texas, on November 2, 2025, at the age of 76.

Born on January 18, 1949, to Glen S. Wood and Fanella Brigham Wood, Tommy was known for his quiet nature and genuinely gentle soul throughout his life. He built a respected career as a dedicated mechanical engineer, serving at Texas Instruments for 37 years until his retirement. Outside of his professional life, Tommy was a devoted member of the Elks Lodge in the Greenville and Cash, TX area. He found great enjoyment and peace tinkering with his hands in his shop, working on everything from cars to tractors.

Tommy's legacy is carried on by his loving family. He is survived by his sons, Thomas Trent Wood (Lea Ann), Tracy Dean Wood (Michelle), and Travis Tyre Wood. He will be deeply missed by his eight grandchildren: Ian Wood, Alyssa Lewis, Dylan Sides, Alexandria "Lexi" Wood, Teagin Wood, Avery Wood, Amanda Davis, and Kaelyn Haas. He is also survived by his great-grandson, Theo Lewis.

He leaves behind his two cherished sisters, Martha Wallace and Mary Freeman, and his nieces, Nan Tomlinson, Stephanie Richey, Gina McClung, Cecilia Kay Kennedy, Kim Trent, and Desirea Brittain, along with a host of extended family members and beloved friends.

Tommy was preceded in death by his parents, Glen S. Wood and Fanella Brigham Wood, and his daughter, Tonisha "Toni" LeAnne Wood.
