Thomas Jay Yahne, age 68, passed away in Muskegon on June 19, 2022. Tom was born in Grand Haven on June 11, 1954, to his parents Robert and Ruby (Cain) Yahne. He graduated from Grand Haven High School and went on to serve in the United States Navy. He worked as a machinist for Haven Manufacturing for many years before retiring in 2019. Tom married his wife, Gail, in 1988 and they spent 31 wonderful years together before she preceded him in death in August of 2019. Tom enjoyed fishing and hunting, but more recently he had devoted his life to caring for his wife and their home. Tom will be lovingly remembered by his son, Robert (Lindsey) Yahne; daughter, Angela (Chris) Hixenbaugh; three stepchildren: Robert Burnes, Clinton Burnes, and Alicia Burnes; four grandchildren; three brothers in-law: Gordon Hitsman, Tim Nebola, and Gilbert Rich III; and eight nieces and nephews: Missy (Don) Cook, Jack Hitsman, Gordan (Jamie) Hitsman, Brenda Twa, Tom Tiles, Bill Tiles, Tim Nebola, and Jesse Nebola. Tom was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Gail Yahne; and three sisters: Rosie Hitsman, Sharon Nebola, and Roberta Rich. Per Tom's wishes no public services will be held. Arrangements by The Sytsema Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 737 E. Apple Ave, Muskegon, MI, 49442.
